Partially leucistic riroriro/Grey Warbler

Postby melissab » Tue Apr 21, 2020 2:37 pm

Hi Everyone,
This morning on my lockdown walk to Otari-Wilton's Bush I spotted this partially leucistic riroriro/Grey Warbler. It was interesting in that it not only had white obvious patches of white, but the upper plumage seemed darker than on regular birds, it was quite chocolate brown. It also has some white claws, and its wings were mostly white.
I just though I'd share incase anyone had any thoughts or just wanted to see!
Melissa.

Yes, thanks for posting. When we're allowed I'll stop in at the bush and have a look for it.
