I'd have been with you DT! Huge bird for me!

Searched for the Greenshank for a couple of hours at high tide yesterday with no luck, unfortunately. 38 bar-tailed godwits were present, presumably overwintering.

Common Greenshank still present at Riverton. It visited the back garden of a local birder, Lloyd Blakie, early morning on 8 December at high tide (what a garden tick!). The bird was relocated in the north east corner of the estuary about two hours after high tide by Neil Robertson and Phil Rhodes on 10 December, associating with a small group of Pied Stilts.

No sign of the shank today, but the tide was still a ways out. However, had great views of the grey-tailed tattler at about 1220.
