I'll be looking for the Northern Shoveler on Friday if anyone wants to tag along.

Stoked to see the Northern Shoveler this morning amongst the Australasian shovelers and geese. It was in the South-eastern pond. A kōtuku was an extra bonus!

Greg McKenzie reports via Facebook that the Northern Shoveler was still there today.

Has anyone seen the Northern Shoveler at Pegasus recently?

It was still hanging around when I was there on May 10th, was at the Northern End with the other shovelers.

Great to cath him today. One handsome bird. Still in the north end of the north pond.

Hi Adam, by “north end of tue north pond” - do you mean the farthest north pond that has black water on google earth maps? or the one north of the pond just north of the beach access road?
