Hi all,
I was talking to a bloke today who is adamant he saw a Barn Owl just after sunset a couple of days ago, behind the South New Brighton camping ground in the South New Brighton Domain.
Worth keeping an eye out for Christchurch birders.

Finally got round to following up on this today, no barn owl but did hear a little owl at dusk which could (at a stretch) have been mistaken for a barn owl.

The bloke who told me he saw it had lived in Oz for 7-10 years and described it accurately. He knew there are Little Owls there too.
