Saw 3 birds flying over Bombay this morning, together. Didnt stop to sing. Looked like they were on a mission heading south. Quite fast flyers! Do they migrate in small groups/flocks?

I have yet to hear a shining cuckoo this season (in Wellington). Zealandia / Karori Sanctuary is usually a sure-bet this time of year. I was in there for 4 hours in perfect conditions today, and did not hear one.
