Is this bird just another Bar-tailed Godwit?
I went over my photos I took yesterday at Motueka Sandspit and apart from the obvious Black-tailed Godwit near the top right of this photo I also spotted a bird with quite a different pattern to its wing feathers compared to all the other Godwits around it. I marked it with a red arrow. I don't claim to be enough of an expert to declare it anything else, but I must admit that I am intrigued enough to ask for other opinions.

That black-tailed is a cracker!
