Morning all I have seen a possible chestnut teal at playhouse ponds tasman near mapua it was like a dark brown to chestnut grey teal with green and white wingbars it was associating with grey teal 10. It was not a male i am definatly ruling that one out however possible juvinile male/female or female adult Should be considered. I am leaving back to the north island this evening so any inquires about the bird can still be sent to me.
