flooded paddocks - Island block road. Waikato

Sh1/ Island block rd there is a flooded paddock. A lot(150+)pied stilt. 5 cattle egret. 9 wf heron.

Similar stilt numbers there today along with 1 egret. Also 8 Caspian tern and a pair of RB Gulls. To the NE at Kopuku, the paddocks are still pretty wet too with over 300 stilt, a lone dabchick, and 2 Black-billed Gulls (always nice inland here) among other water lovers. Big flocks (1000+) of goldfinch and greenfinch in the area.
