Seen with RNS and large numbers of dotterels. As Andrew said in the previous post. A nice Christmas present!

Also some Wrybills, one of which was banded with at least a red band, but difficult to see clearly due to heat mirage.

Was showing very well. And a breeding plumage marsh sandpiper on the left hand side.
Great work Fraser on finding this bird and getting the word out so quickly!

Hi All, This is the 3rd recorded sighting of a Long-toed Stint at Lake Ellesmere. Colin Hill reported the 1st in Aug/Sept 1997, the 2nd was seen Dec 2000. Excellent sighting by all of the present one. Happy Birding.

Has a UBR been submitted for this bird yet? It was absolutely fantastic to have been out there with Fraser when he spotted it.
Happy Birding,
Sam

Hi Sam,

I submitted a UBR today. It was great to have you along, nice work with the camera and what an introduction to Lake Ellesmere!

Cheers,
Fraser

Quick update, the LTS has just flown off in the direction of Embankment Road in the company of two RNS. It should still be around the area.

EDIT: LTS refound at Embankment Road, a couple of hundred metres south (left looking at the lake) of the Embankment fenceline. There's a big puddle there where all the stint were hanging out.

Does anyone where the LTS is now. Thinking of looking for it.
