A single chestnut-breasted shelduck was spotted by Hugh Robertson on the 11th March, during the February Lake Wairarapa wader survey. The bird was roosting in amongst a flock of 838 paradise shelducks, just south of the Tauherenikau Delta. Possibly the same bird that was spotted by Igor at the Oporua Floodway in early Jan.
Cheers,
Nikki
