I heard a strange noise in a tree near my garden

Sort of like a squeaky childrens swing next door?.. if so a King.

Do we know these are the same bird? Over the 5 years since the first post in this thread, these birds could be separate escapes?

Is it possible this is someone's pet? Looking at post from 2016 and reading up the life span on these beautiful birds, makes me wonder. I'd love to know it's name, boy or girl?
I took pic of this Australian King Parrot while walking home from work earlier this week, through One Tree Hill. And yes Rosellas were very close by too.

Hi there. This king parrot has now likely been residing in Cornwall Park at Maungakeikei/One Tree Hill for 10 or more years. The bird is site faithful, has no issues in finding natural foods & is regulary reported in our local Birds New Zealand social media (Birds Auckland). He has been free from his former owners for a long time & seems to be thriving.

Haven't seen it myself, but I got a message from someone this morning who said they saw a second male king parrot in Cornwall Park - both were on the ground
