Still at Little Waihi with the Barwit flock. 85 juv Barwits in a flock 530 today. Asiatic whimbrel, 5 wrybill, two turnstone and 47 knot were the best.
At Maketu ... 50 juvs with 300 Barwits. 1 whimbrel and 1 turnstone.
Over at the new Ford Rd wetlands - 1 sharp-tailed sandpiper, 1 breeding plumage cattle egret and 2 turnstone. Well worth a look if you are passing. This area has been transformed. Some over zealous planting by BoPRC will close it up fast but right now its looking great ...
