Black-fronted Terns, Te Raekaihau Pt, Wellington

Postby Michael Szabo » Fri Mar 29, 2024 10:47 am

Saw two BFTs with a flock of about 400 WFTs yesterday in Princess Bay close to Te Raekaihau Pt on the south Wellington coast at low tide.
Some of the WFTs had a pink wash.

The annual migration of BFTs east along the south Wellington coast continues today - just saw 5 flying east across Island Bay.
