Road kill ID help

Postby Hypno » Fri Dec 28, 2018 2:14 pm

I found this roadkill in little river on the 15th, morepork or falcon? it felt too large for a morepork at the time but the flatness may have caused this.

Morepork. Really rounded wing feathers, and a very rich chocolate brown on the breast with white tips.

Oh dear! That’s no good. Probably a younger bird that didn’t know how to navigate roads and cars.
