I found this roadkill in little river on the 15th, morepork or falcon? it felt too large for a morepork at the time but the flatness may have caused this.

Morepork. Really rounded wing feathers, and a very rich chocolate brown on the breast with white tips.

Thanks David, is my first Morepork sighting, Location to be exact was outside the Little River Hotel where id stopped for a Saturday Beer

Oh dear! That’s no good. Probably a younger bird that didn’t know how to navigate roads and cars.
