Cape Barren Geese and Mute Swan bred at Peacock Springs are sold to wildlife collectors as pinioned birds and there's no chance of free-flying ones escaping from there. They are very responsible breeders. Not sure what happens at Orana Park, the guy we had contact with there, shifted to Peacock Springs. The Riverbridge Trust Centre breeds CB Geese and lets them fly away when able to. That's inland from Ashburton, near the river.
