Did my daily check on nz dott. 1 nest with egg. Spur winged plover chicks everywhere. Dabchick nest building. 15 skylark, 14 wf heron 37 pied stilt on flooded paddock and surprised to see pair aus. Shovelor and a grey teal on flooding corner of paddock. I am guessing just sheltering from the storm. There are plenty of ponds around so would be good if they stayed. Also falcon over heading sw. And one not very friendly stray/ unaccompanied dog!
