I saw it late this afternoon with pied stilts further down river in lagoon.

Was in similar spot this morning, there was also a black fronted tern with white fronted.

That’s a very interesting looking Tern Bob. Doesn’t look like a black fronted for my eyes, far too pale. But it looks off for a little tern to me also. Paler primaries, and a stubbier bill. Do you have any more shots of it?

Black fronted Tern should have much more orange-coloured legs and bill than this. And this bird is too small as well.

Both the greenshank and tern were present in the usual spot this morning around 9am (high tide seems to be best time as no sign of the shank last night at low tide).
