Black Fantail Maungakotukutuku Valley (North Island)

No image but we just clearly saw a black fantail in the Maungakotukutuku Valley, kapiti. Very beautiful, I might go back with a camera a see if it is still there.

We have had quite a few sightings of these on our land in Kapiti in the last months and well spread out so I am increasingly of the view that there are a number in the valley this year. Today I managed to get an image despite the poor light conditions.
