LittleEgret Foxton Beach

Postby haggarty » Sat Apr 13, 2019 5:36 pm

The little egret reappeared today at Foxton Beach, becoming an annual appearance. Did not have a camera with me, but if it behaves like last year it should be around for a while so will try for pics tomorrow

Little egret still here, along with a white heron, at present both sitting together on a log. We are here for the long weekend so hoping for some closer views of these white beauties.

No sign of the Little Egret today but the White Heron was visible from the lookout by Foxton Beach motel for a few hours around the middle of the day after high tide.

A little egret making its way around the estuary at midday today with much flapping and running, putting on a good display of its feeding manner.
