DOC have made an excellent track comprising grasses and Salicornia australis etc that goes straight to the lake edge-no more bashing thro marsh ribbonwood and tall grasses etc


Selwyn River mouth is to the right (west) and Embankment Road etc are to the left (east)
Nice mud and pools to the left
We found

43 Wrybills
10 Banded dotterels
6 Caspian terns
110 Royal spoonbills
