Glossy ibis return
This evening on my way to a meeting I was most surprised to see 16 Glossy ibis in this field near the end of Dillons Point road in a farmers paddock. My quick photo taken from approximately 200 metres clearly shows a large group of birds. I shall provide updates on these birds however remember they are on private property and usually can be seen quite clearly from the road. However they do spook very easily even when in a vehicle.

Thanks for the update Will. Bill and I were discussing this a few weeks back and saying how no one had reported seeing them in a while. Awesome to see they are still around!

Yes it would be fascinating to know where they have been particularly when no one else has sighted them.

What a sight!!!!

Only 2 this morning and they flew in from the direction of the Blenheim settling ponds.

Many thanks for the update Will, I'll be passing through Blenheim in about a month's time and will be watching this thread closely!
