Unusual Upper Mandible

I caught this image of a "wild" S-C Cockatoo in the Waitakeres today. I thought the upper mandible was unusual. I guess its a product of a different diet from its usual Australian one.

Length and shape don't look unusual to me. Head posture is slightly different, but compare to a clearer photo like this: https://australianmuseum.net.au/learn/a ... -cockatoo/

Such a long pointed upper mandible on this NZ bird reminded me of the long-billed corella.
