There were 2 Curlew Sandpipers among the knot at Lincoln Street reserve Mangawhai today (Thanks Sav for alerting!). Also Banded Rail (they have raised a chick successfully again this year despite huge disturbance). Had a flock of 7 Fairy Tern fly over yesterday morning - most looked like either non-breeding birds or newly fledged juveniles but didn't have time to look at all of them in detail - still that's an encouraging number.
