Kaitorete spit Broad-billed prion

found this on the gravil rd not far from where the caspian terns are nesting.it was hit by a car..on kaitorete spit.very cool bird..so sad to see it dead.but 1st one i have ever seen..so some of them must come in around that area..

Broad-billed Prions are regular beach wrecks on the Cantral Canterbury and Banks Pen coastline at this time of year - much more seasonal than Fairy Prions.
