Albatrosses in Island Bay, Wellington

Albatrosses in Island Bay, Wellington

At least 10 albatross followed a local fishing boat as it approached Island Bay in Wellington at 9am this morning. One Southern Royal Albatross and two White-capped Albatross followed the boat into the bay itself. Here are links to some photos:

What looked to be the same individual Southern Royal Albatross was flying around this morning to the east of the island at 7am, further offshore to the south-east.
