Blue Duck, Otira Valley

Postby tim » Mon Mar 16, 2020 5:02 pm

On Sunday I found two blue ducks, (1 adult female and one fledged juvenile) looks like they have come up from the bottom of the Otira river and no male in sight.
Good to see them up in the Upper Otira river and hopefully its a sign of them making a comeback.
No Rock Wren sighted and only one bird heard (very distinct)

That's great news! Good spotting.
