Kookaburra reported I'm chch

A lady just phoned me reporting a sighting of a probable Kookaburra in Risingholme Park, Opawa, CHCH yesterday. Her description of size, structure, colour etc sounded pretty good and it was being mobbed by other birds. It was making loud whistles rather than the typical call however. It had a long heavy kingfisher bill.
Anyway, just a heads up for local birders. I'd expect more reports if it's the real deal as it should wake local residents when doing its morning calls!
