I've just seen photos, via Garry Melville, of what appears to be a dead cert Pink-footed Shearwater off Kaikoura yesterday. I'll get a link to them, or permission to post here if I can.
It must be Pink- ###### week in NZ!?

Definitely not the same, the bill is quite different in the bottom photo. I liked the suggestion of a bullers x flesh-footed hybrid.
