Dogs are allowed on beaches off-leash all year, except from 1 December to 31 March
between 9am and 6pm when dogs must be on-leash, as well as all public holidays.
As usual, the limited restrictions are only to protect people, not wildlife. The mere presence of a dog, on leash or not, is enough to disturb and distress shorebirds.
