At the tip lagoon 1700 today with Paul and Johannes; sub-optimal weather but good duck numbers present. No sign of either chestnut teal type, but drake northern shoveler and now nine chestnut-breasted shelduck.

No sign of the Northern shoveler, or any chestnut teal type birds on Tip Lagoon the evening of Tuesday 13th, but 4 Chestnut breasted Shelducks were showing well. One beautiful male, two females and a Juvenile male. Thanks for the show around Paul and Sean!

Hi all,

Matt Jones has just sent a message to say that the drake Northern Shoveler and 5 Chestnut-breasted Shelducks were present this morning. The shoveler brought up 150 species for his trip.

Yesterday's Stewart pelagic had 19 tubenose species!

cheers
