Re: Shore Plover, Westshore
Hi all,
So, it really is the same bird. Seen for a couple of days 4th and 5th, then nothing for a while , then back again yesterday and today.
I was lucky enough to catch up with it about 2pm, for about half an hour, but it then flew strongly and high (with 2 Banded Dots) inland.
Neil Robertson and his Wrybill groupo will be looking first thing tomorrow.
cheers

Hi all,
Shore Plover seen again this morning, by Adam and later by me. But this is a different bird to the one photographed by Tim, and it is behaving differently being on the shingle islands in the river and then flying across to Southern Marsh.
It seems likely that the original bird did a runner on Tuesday afternoon, but was replaced by another yesterday morning!?
cheers

Just an update for those interested. The 'new' visiting female shore plover (band combo GRYO) initially sighted on Wednesday was still present this morning, viewed at the Southern Marsh memorably feeding alongside banded dots, two sharp-tails and a knot. No sign of the original female (BRRY) last seen on Tuesday.

I am looking at heading over this way tomorrow. Is there any update on if she is still hanging around please?
