Blue Duck observer has recanted (Admits to being quite unsure of the ID)--the stitchbird certainly seems doubtful but will look into that too.

Hehe, generally a bit more casual than that at ebird but using over-formal language has been known to occur

This weirdly-formatted report https://ebird.org/checklist/S55248597 should not include the Brown Quail.

Recent Mynas in Wellington City
If all of these sightings are genuine, then I'm very surprised that they aren't better-known.

Re: Obviously incorrect reports on eBird
Hudson Dean reported a Pacific Swift in Wellington yesterday. I found a way to contact him and after I asked a couple of basic questions he said it was a Welcome Swallow.

Somes Island Robins
How likely is it that a person encountered not one, but three robins on Somes Island earlier this year?
To my recollection, the situation back in early 2013 was that very few robins were left on the island and that they would surely die out soon.
Prior to this sighting, the most recent reported sighting of a robin on Somes Island was of one in 2016.

Re: Obviously incorrect reports on eBird
By the way, we've encountered a glitch in which eBird tries to give a position in the Ruahine Ranges in the North Island as being on the West Coast of the South Island. Nick Allen pulled me up for claiming a Whitehead near Westport...
