There was a Little Egret, foraging in the Papakura Channel at half tide today. A scope was required for positive identification [although it's typical Little Egret behavior gave it away a bit even through bins] because it was on the Karaka side and a bit east of Weymouth where I was

2 Little egrets today on the beach at Keith Park, 2 hours after high tide.

One seen today, hanging with a pair of spoonbills just next to Keith Park.

One seen today at about half tide late afternoon in the channel at the end of Greers Rd. At times feeding close to 2 spoonbills and 3 little Black Shags

I observed one little egret on the mudflats by Keith Park today between 12:30-1:30 pm. First report I've seen from this location for 2021, but perhaps so frequently seen here over the last few years that they're no longer being reported?
