WINTER 2022 schedule : The Petrel Station pelagic seabird trips (Tutukaka, New Zealand).

– 8th July (Friday) – TRIP FULL
– 31st July (Sunday) – TRIP FULL
– 8th August (Monday) – TRIP FULL
– 21st August (Sunday) – TRIP FULL

The colder, winter months are when the albatross and a mix of southern seabirds come north up to our area, and we’ve had some real winter rarities show up. Past visitors have included Blue Petrel, Pink-footed Shearwater, 4 Prion species to name a few so there’s no telling what could turn up. The local winter breeding seabirds are also around in good numbers too.

Hi all

I've still got some places available on the upcoming winter pelagic seabird trips to 'The Petrel Station' in July and August. Great time of year for the albatross and southern seabirds, the local winter breeders, and for other potential winter seabird rarities that could turn up.

SEABIRD TRIP RESCHEDULED
NOW ... SUNDAY 10 JULY

This Friday’s Tutukaka pelagic seabird trip (8 July) has been cancelled (due to weather) so hoping instead to go out on Sunday (10th July) when it's looking like much better conditions. Only need a couple more so the trip can go ahead so let me know if you're keen to join for a great day out on the water with some awesome winter seabirds out at 'The Petrel Station'.
