AWS Datacentre
The much hyped $7.5b Amazon data centre with 1,000 jobs etc required a few compromises including the draining of a wetland in Auckland and loss of a dabchick breeding site, but now it has fallen flat and the wetland is not being restored.

Re: AWS Datacentre
Not good at first glance, but it was an artificial pond, and dabchicks are pretty quick to find new little artificial ponds. The idea that wildlife will just find somewhere else to live is old and obviously flawed though.
