Omokoroa Little egret.

On Saturday a Little egret was photographed (with spoonbill) by Lynn Ford at Omokoroa golf course DOC roost (locally known as Peach beach) I followed this up today and found the bird at the roost a couple of hours after high tide, it soon flew out into the estuary with some WF Heron. Up to 3 have been seen in the area for the last couple of years and as far as I know the last record before this was in late April seen at Pohutakawa point by John Kingdon. 5 Kaka also seen in gardens at end of Kayelene rd when I returned to the car.
