This is another sparrow near where I saw the one I posted a few weeks ago. This one was at the "village" at the bottom of 17th Ave Tauranga. I meant to go back and try for better photos but it's not happening so I'm posting what I did get.

I have been doing retrospective photo indexing this year and have just come across this VOC that I somehow missed at the time and thought should perhaps go on the record here. It was in the Maketu, Bay of Plenty, area between Newdicks Beach and the Waihi Estuary entrance. 23 September 2017.

Saw a chaffinch with white tail and rump in the vineyards on Thursday, alas no photo and probably unlikely to see her again
