Another very low tide today with the godwits hanging out on the other side of the shellbank so they were pretty much invisible for the 2 hours up to high tide. However, we went away for an hour and a half and came back to the godwit flock on the shellbank itself (too far out for me to come to any conclusions about species). However, the three Far Eastern Curlew were all present, much to my delight (lifer!) all to the right side looking out.

The tide was very high today, but good numbers of Godwits and Knot along with 3 Whimbrel on the shell bank. No sign of the C B Shelduck on the stilt ponds, and only one male A Shelduck. No sign of the P Goldies, so perhaps they have moved to the Piako along with the F E Curlew.
