Unknown Bird Whistling a Melody in NZ bush

Postby Mameh » Mon Jan 07, 2019 11:57 am

I was going tramping with some friends the other day and we made it to the campsite and then we heard this beautiful whistling.
It was like a human whistling and it was whistling a sort of Melody similar to the Winchester chime.
The whistling was nothing too complicated just a straight note changing to the next forming a song.
We were the only people at the campsite and I heard it in the morning while the rest of my friends were asleep.
When I came back home I researched it and nothing came up, does anyone know what it is?

Bellbirds do Winchester chimes, that's why they're called Bellbirds. 'I'm the BEST bird'.
