Auwo/Black-naped Pheasant-Pigeon rediscovered, PNG

140 years after the Auwo (Black-naped Pheasant-Pigeon) was last seen by scientists, researchers have "rediscovered" the rare species.
After a month of searching in September, a team captured footage of the species deep in the forest of tiny Fergusson Island in Papua New Guinea:
