Hi Ian,
I've made an appointment to visit the bird collection at Te Papa to look at and photograph their Fulmar Prion skins.
I'm hoping it will include some collected at named islands in the Chathams plus the Bounties, Snares, Auckland islands.
I've also been looking at the NZ Birds Online pages where there are photos of Fulmar Prions ashore at the Pyramid and the Forty Fours (and Fairy Prions at Mangere Island).
If anyone out there has good photos of either of these two prion species ashore in the Chatham Islands it would be good to post them, either here or offer them to Colin Miskelly for the NZ Birds Online website.
Cheers,
Michael

Thanks to Alan Tennyson at Te Papa I was able to visit and take some photographs last week.
Among the collection there are ten Fulmar Prion skins each from the Pyramid and the Forty Fours plus 22 Fulmar Prion skins from the Bounties.
The first three photos here are of Fulmar Prions from the Pyramid.

Hi Michael,
thanks for posting the photos. Very interesting.
The second ("Female (above) and male, The Pyramid.") and the eighth photo ("Female Pyramid bird (above) and female Bounties bird.") appear to show the same birds. Could you maybe check which legend is correct?
Cheers
Matthias

Thanks Matthias, yes you're right. I've deleted the one that was wrongly labelled.
Cheers,
