Almost certainly 100% Kereru misid, but it's weird that New Zealand Pigeon is already listed there.
133 birds on my life list since 17 June 2020, latest bird Common Tern.
93 birds on my 2024 year list as of 6:50pm 13 January, latest bird Indian Peafowl.
15 y/o birder from the Waimak and Paradise Shelduck campaigner: facebook.com/paradiseshelduck.

I hadn't even noticed there was New Zealand Pigeon (kereru) on the list at all!
Interesting though that both species are on there.
Very Unobservant of me

Remember that time when a bittern in Russia was reported to be a kiwi?

There Has been a previous report of a American-brown creeper, it seems a common confusion (we aren't in America)

Yes, if one uses the default language settings, then "Brown Creeper" is the American one, whereas ours is "pipipi". Similar issue with Rock Wren, "Spur-winged Lapwing", and "Black-backed Gull." Luckily these all get flagged and eventually fixed
So for any Kiwi ebird users who haven't realised this yet, it's a good idea to go into Settings and select NZ English to avoid confusion.

Re: Obviously incorrect reports on eBird
We all know how easy it is for visitors or novices to confuse non-breeding Red-billed and Black-billed Gulls. Have a look at the ebird records for Black-billed Gull in North Shore City. 2 things are apparent ;
1 none of the top Auckland birders have recorded a Black-billed on ebird in North Shore City
2 lots of other people have
There may be an exception or two and I apologize to anyone in that category, but the overall pattern is clear
