Email addresses and preventing spam

A tip: including your email address (or worse, someone else’s) in a post sets it up to be spammed by any person or bot trawling the web. A better alternative is to allow people to email you by clicking the little button on the right of your posts (under your avatar, next to the PM button). That button is not visible to anyone but registered members who are logged in.
I suspect most people don't like spam, and like most things prevention is best.
