Pacific Golden Plover - Invercargill

During an atlas count on March 21st we noticed a large flock of 69 PGP on a ploughed paddock adjacent to the Bluff Highway (not far from the New River Estuary), many were in breeding plumage, a pre-migration flock I suspect.
Amongst them were at least 150 banded dotterel.
