hi folks, just a heads up. Phil Crutchley reports that yesterday he saw a smallish raptor (falcon/kestrel/hobby) flying over a paddock near the cafe at the junction of the Akaroa Highway and the Gebbies Pass Rd. By the jizz and way it was flying his sense was that it wasn't a NZ Falcon but something else. Just alerting folks to keep a look out in the Gebbies Pass/Motukarara/McQueens Valley areas.
