Kaka in Birkenhead, North Shore

Heard a kaka while getting the mail at about 9.35am this morning. Went inside to grab my binoculars and camera, and about 5 minutes later it started calling again and I spotted it moving about in a tree. It flew off as I got in a better position to try get a photo (unsuccessful), and a second bird started calling and flew by. Both flew into Fernglen Gardens in Birkenhead, and I have heard them again distantly a few times over the last hour or so

Terrible photo (no light and it's deep in the tree), but I have just seen one fly in at 7.10pm
