Heard repeated calls from Bailons crake - recorded on Taruheru River 200m upstream from Botanic Garden Bridge (my place)- just after dark.

This evening I heard this again - much clearer - recorded it, and looked a bit harder. It was 2 Royal spoonbills. Very difficult to see as it was essentially dark - but could see their shapes.
I've had a look on xeno canto and the calls match very well. I've amended the iNat, eBird, and also uploaded to most recent call to xeno canto.
