Kōtuku in Christchurch city

Two kōtuku (great egret) seen in Chch city this morning, magic. Two different birds - saw one in McCormacks Bay at 8.30am, then 5mins later saw the regular individual that winters in the Linwood/Charlesworth canal.

A couple of days ago 1 was at the Avon rivermouth and the other in Charlesworth Reserve, so they're doing a bit if exploring currently...
