Spotted dove at Waitara, Taranaki

One bird on our garden fence at 10.45 am this morning, not seen one outside the Auckland area before. Princess Street area in garden bordering open farmland.

They're pretty common around the Bay of Plenty.

Yes, very common in many places - but not in Taranaki where it was seen.
